Testimonials

  • We spent New Years 2020 with family and friends @ Tiger Tops Karnali, and it was a trip never to forget. From the jeep safaris to the excellent service, there is no comparison to any other lodge in Nepal, and perhaps the world (I've been to several around the globe). Starting out as tiger-hunting camp founded by two Texans, this camp has grown into anti an eco-friendly place that strives to preserve nature by any means possible - including no-elephant riding and just a little carbon footprint.

The guides are knowledgable, speak perfect English, and always carry a bird book. They know the forest well, and excursions into the park are just magical. Walks outside the camp are just as interesting, as an authentic Tharu village is just outside the gate. I've been living in Nepal for 20 years now (been all over the place on motorbike) and this is by far my favorite place to stop. !

  • My dad and I had an amazing 3-night stay at Tiger Tops Karnali Lodge. It was the perfect amount of time to see the park and enjoy the lodge. The location of Tiger Tops is beautiful and feels remote -- it's in the jungle, just past a quaint village. You feel like you are in a wild place, and it's nice to be cut off from wifi, TV, and cell service. There are lots of monkeys on the property. The rooms are stunning, simple, and elegant. !

  • It is quite a journey to reach this lodge - a flight to Nepalgunj airport and then a 2-hour drive to Bardia. The welcome was friendly and warm. Accommodation was quite basic in cottages up to 60 metres from the central lodge, but it was clean and comfortable. Breakfast and dinner were served in the central area. The food was locally obtained and was well-cooked and well-presented. The lodge is very convenient for the National Park. Recommended
  • I wonder why I waited so long to visit this oasis. But I’m so thankful that finally I made it. Tiger tops karnali is all good things one hear of and some more. It’s a purely jungle lodge with old world charm. You can sense character, grandeur in its own ways and class once you reach there. Rooms are well appointed with all amenities. Most importantly Tiger tops has amazing staff members. Unlike newbies, they’re not over powering and too eager but they are so polite, well mannered and prompt. Just right for a resort where one needs privacy as well as comfort. Also, this must be one of the rare resorts to serve best continental food.
  • We loved staying at Tiger Tops Karnali Lodge. The lodge, food, service and staff were terrific. The staff did everything they could to make our trip enjoyable. The food was incredible - fresh, tasty and creative. It might just be the best food we’ve had in Nepal. The lodge has great style, our rooms were super comfortable (we were in the superior rooms) and we really liked the communal main area centred around an open pit fire.

Thank you very much to Tiger Tops and the people who helped us enjoy our stay so much - we will certainly be back.

  • This place is a gem!!! Excellent service, comfortable rooms and excellent staff. My wife and I spent 3 nights here after I did the Everest Base Camp trek. The room was extremely comfortable and well laid out. Our naturalist who guided us in the Bardiya National Park was extremely knowledgeable and worked so hard to give us an experience of a lifetime. The cuisine was excellent and the staff so accommodating. Excellent service all around and will definitely return in the future. The rooms are stunning, simple, and elegant. !
